Southwark Cathedral 2

yinkamd

Southwark Cathedral is the oldest Gothic church in London. It dates back to the 1000s. Great people associated with the church include William Shakespeare (The Globe Theatre is a stone's throw away), Chaucer, and Charles Dickens. There are arches from 1066, and the altar and area at the front of the church has been in continuous daily use for over 900 years! This and the rest of the series are hdr images composed of 3 exposures (0, +2, -2). The camera was placed on a Manfrotto tripod, and exposures were in manual mode at f16, with shutter times from 1/30 to 1/8 sec at ISO 200.The HDR image was composed using Photomatix. Thanks!Yinka

Uncommonly good. The texture and lighting, as well as the solitary figure seated to the right, really combine to make a great photo. Have you considered cropping a bit off the left to make the photo perfectly symmetric?
