Cape skink

I did not have any luck lately with my photographic efforts. So I

thought I'll try a lizard. His expression is basically how I feel at

the moment. I suppose I should rather go photograph old boats and

sunsets. What do you think?

Very nice capture, good colours, composition and timing! Tough I do not think the

white frame is the most appropriate.

It's amazing how everything has a little shine to it, even the dried up leaf. He looks like he thinks he's the king of his little jungle. Nice detail.

Hey - is that lizzard smiling at me? Might have cropped it a bit to concentrate on the 'akkedis'. Why do I want to crop all your photos? Anyway - nice shot.

Because you have cropping disease, but unlike PS addiction, it's cureable.

 

I considered a crop, but liked the version with the colours and different vegetation more to give context. To creat the feeling of a ruler over his little kingdom. But granted, the probable success of this photo lies in his expression.

 

PS: And you can only crop so much with a 6.1 megapix camera ;-)
