Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted October 28, 2006 Flat light - go back in the morning or evening. Link to comment
davidroossien 0 Posted October 28, 2006 I like it--natural and realistic. I like the pink versus blue and gray rocks/water. Link to comment
jim craig 0 Posted October 28, 2006 Definitely prefer this shot the best of the two you posted, this one has more "punch" or impact. Nice definition in the foreground (good use of hyperfocal) and I like the silkyness of the river as it's curve carries my eyes through the image where the stand of trees in the background stops me from leaving the image. hanna_cowpe 0 Posted October 29, 2006 Thankyou all for your comments. This was shot in late afternoon in late August. As it is surrounded by large hills, shooting later in the day would have made the light even less attractive. I liked the partially cloudy conditions because they reduced glare on the water and brought out the white birch against the fir trees. I'm afraid the 1000 mile trip is just a bit too far to go for the early morning reshoot. Link to comment
FranzWeber 368 Posted April 13, 2007 Hanna, well done. Do you remember how long you exposed this picture? Best regards Franz Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted April 13, 2007 I'm afraid I'm too lazy to record those details, but my guess would be that it was about 6 seconds. Thanks for stopping by. Link to comment
