williammccarey 0 Posted October 28, 2006 bill, good shot. I know because I patiently wait on my deck for my Anna's hummingbirds to go to the same Bee's Balm plant as you have. Getting that perfect shot is elusive as the DOF degrades rapidly with the speed and aperture needed to capture these little guys. I am curious as to why the plant is so maroon colored as opposed to bright red? Did you use color correction? Thanks for the great pic. 6/6 Link to comment
shawn w callahan 0 Posted October 28, 2006 I like how the crop accentuates the diagonal that is created. About the only thing I don't like, and this is just personal preference, is the frame is too busy for my taste. A simpler frame would be better because you have captured a lot of detail and color in the subject and it doesn't need any more help to become a nice shot. Link to comment
bgeg 0 Posted October 28, 2006 I have about 5 different colors of Monarda (or Bee Balm) this one is an off shade of red, the color in the photo is accurate. Thanks for your comment. Link to comment
