henrimanguy 0 Posted October 23, 2006 This panoramique view was taken from a boat. I took three shots, camera in hands, and stitched them with photoshop. See larger. Thank you for your comments and ratings. Link to comment
owp 0 Posted October 23, 2006 Henri, excellent job blending these together. I'm very impressed. Did this take a long time? Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted October 23, 2006 Thank you Oliver and Ruud. How much time it took ? It was not yesterday, so I can't remember. Sometimes it takes about one hour (for three shots to stitch together), sometimes less, sometimes more, it depends of many parameters. Sometimes, after three hours of battle I give up and I give the work to "stitch it", a very powerful soft. Link to comment

ada-ipenburg 0 Posted October 24, 2006 It's a wonderful panorama and I don't understand how you have fixed this job Henri. Unbelievable how you have stitched those separate parts so jointless together. Excellent work! Greetz, Ada:) Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted October 27, 2006 Thank you all for your kind comments. I am glad that you like it. Ada, it was'nt one of the more difficult I had to stitch, and nevertheless the shots were taken from a boat, stoped in the harbour of course, but with a little pitch even though. Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted October 27, 2006 Henri, I've never stiched photo's; I even haven't any idea how I should have to manage it and that will be the reason that I'm impressed by the way you did it. Have you used a special programm for it? When I would like to do such a job I should be forced to do it manuel. As far as I know my Photoshop 7.0 doesn't have the possibility to do it automatically. So if you have done it manuel I think you did a very good job! Many greetings, Ada:) Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted October 27, 2006 No Ada, there is no automatic way to do that with Photoshop 7.0. I think that the recent versions can do, but I have also the 7.0. The way to proceed is to paste your succesive shots the one upon the other. When you take the shots you have to think that they must stacked at least of one third. There's not much chance that they stack at the perfection, so you have to twist theme, pull up, push down, enlarge, erase such or such part, modify the levels, the colours, in brief to fight lenghtways, wideways and sideways. My own way to proceed is probably not very conventional but I manage with it. When I can't succeed, I palm the work to a soft called 'stitch it' which gets good results. Link to comment

photos of hans koot 0 Posted October 29, 2006 Very nice work, pity some of the white buildings are bit blown out. Link to comment
fhick 0 Posted November 7, 2006 Tr賠belle image, Henri. Amiti鳬 Fernand. Link to comment
