I can't believe nobody has commented on this image...I like it very much.

It really is about the way a father or a mother might hold their child...to protect their infant...the title it fits this image very well...the mimicking forearms top two corners took a while for me to be comfortable with...the big one(forearm)dominates the image for me...but thats what the title says it's doing! great tones as well!! Subject, presentation and light are excellent. Congratulations! I feel the photograph lacks in composition. May be tried with a variation giving prominence to the child and his state of dependence also.

 

This is an excellent photo in composition. You give me ideas for the my future work. It makes one want to take a closer look and say "Wow!". I love the rough textures of father's hand with the baby's body. Warm regards, Tanya.
