bosshogg 4 Posted October 21, 2006 This is really good. The color pallette is quite attractive and subdued. Compositon is great. Very good eye. Also like the new bio pic. Link to comment
dberryhill 3 Posted October 21, 2006 Thanks guys! Dave, Mike Marcotte and his wife came south to visit the Smoky Mountains, and I stole Mike away for a day to show him the area and for me to learn from a good photographer. He took that bio picture and did the best he could. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted October 22, 2006 What a lucky guy to have you for a tour guide in an area that you obvously know and love and has such rich subject matter. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted October 22, 2006 I think this is excellent. Maybe I'm out of sync with the rest of the raters, but the pale color pallette, great texture, rust and black space really work well together. My only suggestion is that you put a thin stroke around this to make it stand out from the background. Nice work! Link to comment
dberryhill 3 Posted October 22, 2006 Thank you Linda. Your suggestion to add a border is a very good one. Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 49,777 Posted October 23, 2006 This is a real beauty doug. The rust dripping down the end of the tank sort of match the rest of those Earthy colors. This is a real keeper. Link to comment
janiebarber 0 Posted October 25, 2006 What a great shot!! The subject matter, the colors, the rust, and the crumbling of the paint makes this a great photo but then look whose snapping it! Always did love fall colors. Link to comment
sheryl_w__blue_mt._ 0 Posted October 29, 2006 I like the contrast between the image of the worn yellowish-cream window, rusting tank and the redish-brown vine ... most interesting.. regards Link to comment
kentb2 0 Posted October 29, 2006 A crash of beautiful colors Doug. Somehow delicate and bold at the same time. Beautiful work. Link to comment

randall ellis 2 Posted February 12, 2007 This is really strong - I get so much feeling from this one because of all the details that can be made out. The colors almost look handcolored, very nice one here. - Randy Link to comment
