j_m_lee_photography 0 Posted October 19, 2006 I like the two pillar on both side as if like a big curtain. Good mixture with day light and warm. Best Regards. Link to comment

robert holmes 0 Posted October 21, 2006 This is a very well composed photo, suitable for a hotel brochure. I am amazed that it is so crisp for a hand-held at 1/20 sec. It could not (at this magnification) have been any better with a tripod. I could not have done it. Cheers. Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted October 21, 2006 Good to use the pillars to frame the lobby. Agree with Spencer, good light within & outside. Link to comment

alecee 0 Posted October 22, 2006 Robert, David, Cherlyn, Umair thanks for the kind comments. Kit Yoong, the images I did were test shots for client. Once approved, then it will be with proper lights and tripod setup for hi-res images. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted October 22, 2006 A difficult lighting situation. I'm wondering if you are going to do multiple exposures and combine them to allow for the interior to be light enough, but without the exterior windows/floor reflection being somewhat blown out? I'm amazed you can hand-hold at 1/20, too! I'd have massive blur happening. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted October 22, 2006 Thank you Florin. Definitely Kim, multiple exposures with a tripod is the way to go. Sometime I also find that with NEF RAW file exposing for the highlights (i.e. underexposing the composition) will be sufficient to do corrections with PP. Link to comment
