stewdbaker 0 Posted April 5, 2008 Is this a North American Praying Mantis, or what is commonly referred to as a "Walking Stick?" The reason I ask is Walking Sticks are brown, and, I thought, all Praying Mantis's are green. I have attached an image of a baby Praying Mantis, (only about a half inch long), I photographed and it is green. I am confused. Link to comment
camilo.margeli 1 Posted April 8, 2008 Hi Stew, Sorry by the delay answering, but on the last time I don't visit this place. About the manthis, really I can't help you, because I don't have the needed knowledge. I look up this insect in the morning in the Montseny mountains, near Barcelona (the city of the olympic games in 1992)and despite it was an adult exemplar, it is really brown. May be you can explain me the difference between the species you propose. Many thanks for your comment, your time and receive my best regards. Many thanks for the rest of the comments authors.
