ljk 0 Posted October 16, 2006 I loved the combination of layers in this vista. What I don't like is the utility poles in the distance, but I show it as I saw it.... Link to comment
currents_serene 0 Posted October 16, 2006 I love the way you used the horizontal lines in the grass to compliment the lines in the rock. Something you might do to make the mountains stand taller is to crop down about 1/3rd of the sky. That would make the composition even better. Very nice. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted October 16, 2006 Thanks for your comment, Currents. My thought on the amount of sky was to balance the foreground, and allow the mountain ranges to divide the two... but there is always another way to look at it. Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted November 3, 2006 A very good shot, and very well composed, Linda. I love the way it flows from prairie, to mesa, then to forested hillsides and alpine mountains. And those dang powerlines, the bane of landscape photographers and the American West. Really nice capture of the subtle tones and light. Best regards, Chris Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted November 7, 2006 hi Chris...thank you for your considered comment. One of my instructors once said that we might as well include power lines, since they are reality...how ever I consider them an ugly reality. My husband would ban them all as his first act of being God... Link to comment
