kcole 0 Posted October 15, 2006 Tyler, great job, love seeing the pier in th ebackground as well as the old washed up apeal that the boat and drift wood presents. Cheers.. Cole Link to comment
torfinn 0 Posted October 15, 2006 Very nice shot Tyler. Have you tried some level adjustments at this one? I think it is possible to make it even better, but that is of course my opinion. I think it would be stronger if you lightned it up a little. Just a little. If you want I can give it a try. Best regards from Sweden! Link to comment
tylerwind 0 Posted October 16, 2006 Cole and Torfinn--Thanks so much for the comments! Torfinn, you get honorable mention credit for this shot because your "left behind" boat picture inspired me to try to capture this similar subject. It was very difficult because it had unpleasant scenery to the right and left. Furthermore, the boat was pulled up on the shore at a very steep angle (you can see how much of the bottom you can see in my shot) so it was hard to get up high enough to show the structure of the boat. I am attaching a couple lighter exposures. Please let me know if this is what you had in mind, Torfinn, or else please feel free to alter any of them and let me see what you come up with. I'm still not doing an alterations on my pictures but I'm trying to learn more about them and get ideas on what to change so I can start pretty soon. Seeing the "before" and "after" pictures really helps me learn to visualize what I should be trying to accomplish with digital alterations. Thanks! Link to comment
tylerwind 0 Posted October 16, 2006 I believe the one I posted was -2/3, the one I just added was +2/3, and the one I'm going to attach to this should be as I metered it. Any thoughts are appreciated! Link to comment
torfinn 0 Posted October 16, 2006 Here is the first one. I just did some level adjustments thru layer here, and a slightly small adjustment of contrast. Maybe a little to hard on contrast? You can look at the ropes. Tell me what you think. Best regards from Sweden! Link to comment
