vallery 0 Posted November 1, 2006 I spend a lot of time photographing real estate in the Georgia mountains and when I get a chance, in my mountain road travels, I take it. I see many beautiful trees and this one was about to be "downed" to make way for the horrendous McMansions that are taking over. It's becoming Stepford-like in the beautiful countryside, which means no trees....what a shame, shame, shame,, vallery b Link to comment

david-w 0 Posted January 3, 2007 Hi Vallery, The same is happening here. In such a small country, it begins to worry me that there will be very little green space left. Already the places which were once regarded as 'retreats' are now full of people escaping from the city grind because they no longer have anywhere green to go on their doorsteps. At the same time, the new houses are so expensive that the people who desperately need them will never be able to have them. What gets to me is how old some of these trees are, they have been standing long before any of the people who dreamed up the developments were even born. This is a beautiful image, and I hope you continue to document the trees on your wanderings. David Link to comment
