arjen van de merwe 0 Posted October 14, 2006 Cute idea. Nice expression. There is too much happening in the background. The doors on the side fram her nicely. This type of image benefits from a slick approach. Link to comment
daviddbfotoart 0 Posted October 15, 2006 Not sure on the gaussain blur. Backdrop is not working for me on this one John. Link to comment

JPPhoto1664880217 2 Posted October 15, 2006 John, Ilike the foto above better because it is a tighter shot. There is less background to distract the viewer. Also, I like the model's facial expression better in the second image. Link to comment
thomas_collins1 0 Posted October 18, 2006 I think Ken stated it well - sex appeal. Fresh, spirited and inviting. Now that's a jam session that I would like to partake in! :-) Link to comment
John Peri 1,007 Posted October 18, 2006 Thanks Thomas, and she really does play a mean Sax! Link to comment
adara 0 Posted March 4, 2007 A nice photo but what makes it less appealing to me is that too many distractions compete for attention. Also, I'm just trying to be helpful, but placing the model square center in the photograph gives it much more of an amateurish look. I'd like to see more depth with shadows and have more light fall upon her face. A hair light would add quite a bit, as well. Link to comment
John Peri 1,007 Posted March 4, 2007 These are textbook considerations Adara. Though I am indeed an amateur, I would like to consider myself a litttle past measuring the position of the subject with respect to the remainder of the image. A photo is succesful when it is visually pleasing. If not, then it's not. Link to comment
