henrimanguy 0 Posted October 14, 2006 La Mazade with the passing days (Continuation)Tuesday 25 July, in the evening. There was a thunderstorm at the end of the afternoon and the clouds are well developed above my landscape. This evening, the sky is too beautiful to remain ignored. I put the 20 mm lens and I make my centering in placing the whole landscape in the low part, the sky taking the most part of the composition. I never would have believed that those mountains could become so tiny under this immense sky. Given the great tilt of the camera, I was obliged to set the perspectiv upright with Photoshop so that the chimney on the left and the pole on the right, which are not quite very beautiful, dont be moreover completely slanting. I could have crop the photo in order to remove them but the square format wouldnt have well work in my opinion and I wanted to keep the whole sky. In this format 3/4 I find that the sky has really the top of the bill..To be continuedLinks with the previous photos : La mazade with the passing days Link to comment
soltani 0 Posted October 14, 2006 It's beauiful, you were right about the sky. The mountains are well captured and I like the cold feeling your photo transmits; Don't understand the tilt! Why didn't you fix it?Regards. Ali. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted October 15, 2006 Thank you Ali. About the tilt, I mean that my camera was turned toward the sky and not horizontal. It was well fixed on the tripod but this tilt caused a distortion of the verticals. It is not a problem if there is no vertical lines or objects in a landscape, but here there was a post and a chimney (in the low part, scarcely visible in the dark, I admit it) and they were bent on the photo. aepelbacher 0 Posted October 15, 2006 This is a nice shot, and with the wide angle, is very different from the others of this spot. I LOVE the clouds. Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted October 17, 2006 I like the lanscape... but... A somewhat cyanish tint in the clouds, if corrected, and a tad brighter foreground could help. Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted October 21, 2006 Simple and very nice shot, Henri. A delight of clouds, silhouettes and blue color. Very agreeable atmosphere. Regards! Link to comment
