I love this image for both the composition, and the intense color. Realizing that all computer monitors vary in brightness and coor rendition, how close is the color in the image to what you actually saw? Is this a digital image, or film, an if film, which one? Regardless of the details, this is a beautiful image Allison!

thank you Mike. I did a bit of photoshop work on this. These plants are really green, but they were very mono-toned green. There was nothing too interesting about them in their original state. When I played around in photoshop, and adjusted contrast and played with changing the hue, it brought out a lot of different values that werre not there leaving it natural. Especially the rim lighting along the leaves. I shoot digital by the way. If I still shot on film, I would have a very very nasty expensive hobby...when I go out and shoot, I always get carried away and take aoubt 300 photos.

Ha! I love it! I've taken the same photo and had the same reaction...ho hum, monotone green or grey...yawn. You've done something about it and created an eye-catching, attention grabbing photo. Bravo!
