Evening photo of thistle without tripod. I was able to expose at 1/640s at f2.8. Focal length was 200 and iso 100.

Holmes, I realized that the wrong version of this photo was

downloaded so this is the intended photo. I took approx 14 shots of

thistle and they were starting to look alike.

Perfect DOF with the focus on the one thistle. A simple composition that really has some impact with nice detail and color. And handheld no less!

Beautiful DOF & colours. Good sharpness & clarity on niddle thistle. Very pleasing visually.

Thanks Cherlyn, the Nikon 70-200 is a great lens, I should use it more. The VR function helped hold the sharpness of the primary thistle.
