sawicki 0 Posted October 11, 2006 A photo taken at the main square of Krakow old city which is dominated by pigeons (and tourists feeding them). Thank you for your opinions. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted October 12, 2006 And this side Pawel, the freedom and peace that the pigeons are a symbol of.. one vs. the other. Highly touching images for me. Link to comment
j.k._york 0 Posted October 12, 2006 the texture of the shot is rich. her expression is left to the viewers emotional interpretation. excellent light and composition. regards, J.K. Link to comment
dem_photos 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Great shutter speed--fast enough to freeze your subject, but slow enough to allow a little motion blurring in the pigeons. Link to comment

lbaranyai1 0 Posted October 13, 2006 Pawel, this is a subject we saw so many times since the end of the first world war. We come back to this image of a young girl and pigeons in her hand time to time in photography and other visual arts, when we feel hopeless and betrayed. Ironically these symbols carry our hopes; maybe soon, maybe sometimes, maybe in our time, maybe in our children's or grandchildren's times there is going to be peace. Is it an illusion, maybe, but a good one to have and hope; it will happen. Your immage is a honest and simple one, carries all the hopes I described above, well spotted and captured, straightforward and comforting. Esthetically perfect, technically excellent as it was mentioned by others.. But your greatest achievement; you keep us believe; there is hope. Thank you for this image Pawel. Best regards; Laszlo Link to comment
