claire 0 Posted October 13, 2006 S21 Prison (Cambodia) is now a powerful reminder of the atrocities carried out by the Khmer Rouge in the late 1970's. The prison was a detention and torture centre. The photograph on the back wall in this image depicts the scene found by the first non-Khmer people to enter the prison following the liberation of Cambodia. It shows the corpse of a young man shackled to the bed (foreground) having been tortured to his death. Link to comment
