pnital 36 Posted October 9, 2006 A theatre/dance "sentence" that starts as a luagh and ends with a cry. I upload 2 more versions, Please comment on them what is your impression of the "sentence".Thanks Link to comment
blackdogstudio 1 Posted October 9, 2006 Pnina, she is so beautiful and intense. Makes me wonder what she's thinking and what she's like under every-day conditions. This "portrait" series carry so much emotional energy. Would have to sample one at a time. These highly charged and high octane performances are almost overwhelming what viewed all at one. You really captured the moments Pnina. Excellent work. Regards, Kelvin. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted October 9, 2006 I like all three versions (besides detouring and technical details that you'll arrange anyway) for the expressions and energy that really pops out...I think you could make a very interesting presentation (an attitudes study or something like)...face expression/body expression...a very nice thema. pnital 36 Posted October 9, 2006 Rabinder, Kelvin, Laurent and Ben She IS a very good artist/dancer. Her work which is called " Coffee, night light and a cigarette" is about " 12 minutes in the life of a schizophrenic woman", it is more a theatre/dance than dance as such, and requires an intense expression. She is very skilled, and it is a very unusual creation. Kelvin, in her every day life, she is warm, gentle and has a very sweet personality... Pnina Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted October 10, 2006 To look is not for free; the cost is to the soul. My soul! (...King David's heart must have experienced the same upon seeing Bathsheba.) Pnina, this expression, this face; this woman is too captivating! Sometimes good photography is not so good... ...the heart forgets its purpose. Laugh/Cry ("Sentence", I have enjoyed) Congratulations on a very strong series. Very strong/very beautiful... I believe very passionate. ~Sky Link to comment

laurentlacoste 0 Posted October 11, 2006 Beautiful Pnina. So I think number 3 is the cry. The three pictures are beautiful and expressive. I think it would be great to present the series in a folder for us to follow the scene in progress in one overall look. I like the larger crop in 1 and 2 and the dark background that enhance the figure and expression of the performer. Link to comment

colin carron 58,916 Posted October 11, 2006 Excellent detail in this shot - that lens is working well. You are close enough to see the emotion and feel the tension in her muscles. I think this is where a good piece of equipment allows the photographer to express more feeling as a good musical instrument allows a musician to express the music better. Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted October 11, 2006 Fantastic portrait, I can feel how she sweet is with her nice expression, Pnina, you caught a great moment!!! Best regards. Link to comment

atkphotoworks 0 Posted October 11, 2006 Pnina, she's got so much power and intensity in her expressions. In this main image, I do find it hard to tell whether she is laughing or crying, her expressions leaves it open for both. Although when I look at it in context with the other two, I am more inclined to think she is laughing. In all events, a great addition. BTW, is this dancer, Orna from your portraits folder? pnital 36 Posted October 12, 2006 To all of you, interesting to read your written impressions. Colin, I like that lens very much and use it a lot! Amar, No, it is not Orna, it is Anat. very different two women ;-)) Link to comment
