missionhenrikson 0 Posted October 8, 2006 She is a Strawberry blonde with pink skin. The color and lighting are dead on perfect. If I wanted her to look less "pinky" ...she would. If I did not want a high lite from her side...it would not be there! Link to comment
michael_hansen3 0 Posted October 9, 2006 Mission, you DID say "Feedback always welcome!". Whether or not the lighting and tones are as you intended, other viewers may find those same details distracting or otherwise problematic. (Yes, a more descriptive response than "bad light" would be nice.) The color and lighting may be ACCURATE, but "perfect" is nothing more than an opinion. Having said that, I like the photo as it stands. Topless woman with camera. Simple enough. Sharp focus. Well exposed. Decent composition. Link to comment
dieter_hoffman 0 Posted October 9, 2006 The more I look around...I see that the biggest critiques are always the one's with the worst portfolio's and zero photographic talent. Nataliya Ignatenko and Photo Phreak are the last two people who should be dealing out negative feedback. Mr.Henrikson's Portfolio and positive feedbacks speaks for itself. Link to comment
eml1 0 Posted October 9, 2006 I like it Mission. Having been an admirer of your work for some time, I think it's in keeping with your style and I can assume that this image was created with some intention. Don't let them get you down. It's good work. Link to comment
missionhenrikson 0 Posted October 10, 2006 Thanks for the positive feedbacks. And thank you Eric for your intelligence in your observation that the "blow out" and "overexposure" in my images is intentional and a common theme through out my images. Main Entry: photography Function: noun Definition: the art or process of producing images by the action of radiant energy and especially light. Link to comment
sohara2 0 Posted October 10, 2006 Is there a photo here? I can't get past this woman's incredible body. Seriously though - very captivating photo - her look (eyes) is very sexy. Link to comment
chwn 0 Posted October 10, 2006 I think that all of the comments are valid. My opinion is that overall the photo is very striking and works well. Good job. Chris Link to comment

mikeseb 0 Posted October 10, 2006 Mission, since you don't seem ever to find any value in the criticism offered here, why bother posting your work with "feedback always welcome" when it so clearly isn't? "Adulation only" seems more your motto. No one on photo.net is good enough to comment on your work it seems, yet you keep coming back for more. Odd. That said, I like this image despite the (intentional or not) blown shoulder highlight. The model is stunning and the shot is well done. Link to comment
missionhenrikson 0 Posted October 10, 2006 Mr.Sebastian, Are you sure you don't have me confused with someone else? Please show me more examples of your comment "since you don't seem ever to find any value in the criticism offered here, why bother posting your work with "feedback always welcome" when it so clearly isn't? "Adulation only" seems more your motto. No one on photo.net is good enough to comment on your work it seems" I don't find feedback like Nataliya Ignatenko and Photo Phreak above to be helpful, professional or beneficial to anyone. Guest Guest Posted October 11, 2006 This image flows naturally for me in a clockwise direction, beginning with her face. The hand in the pocket gives it a sort of casual look, but at the same time, it is a very intense image for me. I do like the direct look into the lens. The facial expression may look sort of blank to some people, but for me, it leaves it open to different interpretations. Needless to say, the young lady is beautiful, and I like the detail in the camera and hand grip. As far as the "blown highlights" go, I've noticed this becoming sort of a trend among several high-level fashion and advertising shooters, so I can't really fault that. It isn't something I'd intentionally do, I don't think...but we all shoot in different styles and use different techniques to achieve the results that we want. Bottom line is that I like it because it sort of breaks some rules regarding exposure. Link to comment
robertfarnham 0 Posted October 11, 2006 Blown out highlights are not my taste, especially with digital images. With my old D100 I deal with them all the time. Taste is taste, though. Up to the individual. This image I like because of the stance, the camera, and of course the model, who I recognize from some of Natasha Barabasha's work. The pinkness is very real. I've photographed models with the same hue (and have it myself). Not everyone is 'olive-skinned'. Best regards...Robert Link to comment

evnica 0 Posted March 31, 2007 Funny that Dieter Hoffman mentioned my portfolio. At least, it has something to look at. Yours, seems, just will never happen. I prefer different style. Can you blame me for that? Link to comment
