didier 0 Posted October 8, 2006 This shot was taken in the ealry morning when climbing the Weissmies in Switzerland. I like the shot because it show what variety you can have in the mountains, from snow to rocks and ice and lakes. Enjoy ! comments welcome ! Didier Link to comment
bartimeus1 0 Posted October 8, 2006 This is also beautiful, but as a image, I think that the hut-photo is even stronger. You are right, this shows so well the area, but it is also "not so composed". Or, this is so wide and in such way effective. The photo of the hut puts viewer into such a small place and takes viewers imagination into thinking: "What would it be like to live in such a place". To me, this is more like a - great, but not so close, image. I hope I can explain my thoughts. But I still think that this is a marvellous mountain scene - without the strong black mountain wall on the left. :-) All the best for your climbing and photographing! Alpo (from the very flat Finland) :-) Link to comment
tahoe tana 0 Posted October 8, 2006 I like it also. There is a feeling of different textures with the smoothness of the snow, the jagged rocks and the softly hued sky. And, I like the lake also - to be in such a place with so many things going on, plus a small lake. I also like that the mountains in the back haven't faded out, like they do in some of my shots. Karim Ghantous 1,772 Posted December 22, 2009 This shot is very inviting. Sure, it's cold, but it's relatively hospitable considering it's the mountains. I can't say it's a great photograph, though, not that it matters. Link to comment
