jmoody 0 Posted October 19, 2006 Me too! Reminds me (and probably countless others) of my grandmother (the countless others of their own, of course). Any story behind the shot? Totally random subject? Someone you know? Link to comment
rob wray 0 Posted October 19, 2006 This was an amazing women I met on holiday in Corfu. She was carrying a bundle on her head and wearing a scarf. She must have been late 70's early 80's I said hello and she just asked if I would like to take a photograph of her, well the rest is history. apart from the fact I think she was fitter than me walking up them cobbly hill tracks..... Kind regards Rob Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted October 19, 2006 Yup, I suppose that she's used to us doofy-tourist types (yes, I'm speaking completely for myself) wanting to snap shots. I often get so worked up and nervious about shooting (with a camera) complete strangers but it goes so smoothly sometimes. I say again, you did an excellent job here. Wonderful black and white conversion, great capture of the character and strength (you two didn't arm wrestle afterward did you?)... just a "10" (or "7" as it were) all around. For me... an inspiration Link to comment
eligus 0 Posted October 22, 2006 A strong picture, very good grayscale and contrast. She really stands out. If i have to pic one something it has to be the dark eyes. Other than that it is a really great photo. / Elisabeth Link to comment
