maria 7 Posted October 7, 2006 I've seen once a critique request on photo.net for a photo showing two different materials in Pompei, I think, unified by bitumen. Here there are two materials separated by aging process. Few years ago I did not realise. There were complaints that the wall to the right (the burned clay brick one) will fall down, since it began to separate. It is still there now, after some 6 years. Now I do realise that the rift is caused by material difference (to the adobe to the left). And I was a fresh architecture graduate when I haven't seen this, so I obviously learned something outside the university as well ... What do you think of the photo? thanks Maria Link to comment
