La Mazade with the passing days (Continuation)

When we went back from an excursion, geting out of the car, I notice those three little clouds above my landscape and I like them well. I take the photo from the road, that is to say more or less three meters lower than from the house door and from a view point situated at about a hundred meters on the left. As this road makes a bend, I aim here a little more towards the north. The light is still strong but as the day has been on the whole quite cloudy, the ground is less hot that it was all the previous week and there is less dust in suspension in the air, what makes the visibility is quite sharp in the distance..

To be continued

With this series you proves again what one can make out of one and the same spot! It was for sure a wonderful view you had from your home Henri. In particular this version and version 4 are my favorites. This colorful and bright view gives me a real happy summer feeling.

Warm Regards, Ada:-)

Thank you Ada. It was indeed one of the best views we have never had from our window in hollydays for about twenty years. And this photo is also one of my favorites of all I have taken of this landscape.

In this one the clouds as you'd said are nice to see and I like the contrast in the colors. To see the shadows made by the clouds is another bonus of this one over the others, in which the mountains are more clear.

My critique to the whole series is the presence of the tree/bush on the right. Mainly in #3. It's flat presence (long focal length) is disturbing.

In #4 the mystery, is what I like best, as if there is something the photo wants to say and I can't get it. The different layers of the mountains, that one can see so clearly is another bonus.

I like #2 alot. The composition is great, and you did a great exposure.

Over all I like this one and #4 best. I'll be waiting for the next.

Regards. Ali.

Thank you Ali for your visit and your comments. I don't think that the shadow of those clouds are on the mountains. They are between the mountains and the camera, and the sun is behind them on the left, so their shadow is somewhere on the meadow. The dark areas you can see on the mountains are the forests and the clear areas are the naked rock of the summits. Concerning the trees on the right, it is something I could not avoid because there was only three possible view points on this landscape : from the door of our house, from the road three meters below or from the road a hundred meters on the left. From the three view points, the trees were in the field. No, I make a mistake : there was a fourth view point, from the appartment of our upstairs neighbours. But I could'nt go in their home to take photos. Warm regards.

The BEST of the bunch of them, hands down! I love this. The sky is perfect ... not too boring, but not too many clouds. Great with the amount of light, the mountains in the background, the greens in the foliage. Wonderful!!

Very beautiful photo with excellent contrast. I like the blue sky and the clouds that adds a lot to whole the photo. Congrats !

I like the subject very much and the cloud is great touch. A little more space between the trees and the house would make it better.

Thank you Colin and Kurt. I agree with your suggestion but, as I have said in my presentation (see the first of the series) there was only three possible view points for phototography this landscape, and from the three there was trees somewhere in front of the house.

Trio of clouds, trio of mountain pics and even trio of houses;-)) I like the idea Henry of following a certain landscape from different angles and time, I like this one especially because of the clouds " decoration"... well composed and exposed.
