mjcr 0 Posted October 6, 2006 Spot on! The contrast between the saturated and unsaturated, shiny and matt, for me, is perfect! Well done, nicely composed image, well shot with great selective saturation! Can see a little red line heading upwards from the left top side of the red pot. Big thumbs up! Link to comment
rafikrkamel 1 Posted October 6, 2006 Very nicely done rakesh, excellent use of duotones, the frame adds a nice touch. However, IMHO i would have moved a bit to the right so that the red pot would make use of the perfect rule of thirds, just my thoughts. Thanks for the nice comments on my shots, u know i am thinking soon to put photos just for critique only, the rating system is flawed as we all know, right? I feel there are a bunch of kids sitting out there with thieir fingers on the mouse giving low ratings instead of going out to shoot. Thanks again Rafik Link to comment

sawicki 0 Posted October 7, 2006 Choice of red here is excelent. It works so fine with contrast to grey plates and jar. Simple, but really beautiful. Link to comment

mg 0 Posted October 7, 2006 It's "okaaay", but... I'd suggest this: upload the same picture without the red touch, as a pure black and white. I personally feel the red touch cheapens a lot a picture with great light and great objects. And I'm curious to see what other people would think of a pure b&w version of this picture... When you'll upload the b&w - if you decide to post it -, post on the other page a link to this one, and ask people what they prefer... And kindly give me a buz a week later, so I can see the outcome. PS: I'd rate this one here an O4/A5 and the pure b&w a 6/6. Just my opinion, of course. Regards. Link to comment
