ada-ipenburg 0 Posted October 6, 2006 Dear Arif, it's an honeur to receive such a wonderful compliment from you. Thank you very much!!! Warm greetings, Ada;) Hi Lannie, firstly, I'm glad you are so enthousiastic about this picture. Thank you very much! I can't tell you very much about IR photograpy then just..... well, let's say that it is much more difficult than I had expected. I have always thought that is wasn't much more than the purchase of a special filter. But the opposit is true. You're so dependant on the weather, the intensity of the light and the greatest difficulty is that you can barely see what you shoot. You need very bright weather, harsh light. Such a harsh light that it make other lanscape photographers decide to let their camera at home. You have to experiment a lot to learn which filters you need under which circumstances. The pictures also need a ferm treatment afterwards. But that is actually the funniest part of the process. At least to me. The opportunities are unprecedented. I took this shot last week. The weather was not suitable for IR; a mainly grey day. You'll understand the kick I got out of it when despite the overcasted sky I reached this result. But I have had the support of a great teacher, the master in IR photography, Tony Georgiadis. He has helped me with the purchase of the best filters and familiarized me with the way of processing. I'm very grateful to him! Ha Ruud, dank je wel voor je compliment. Het is altijd spannend als je voor de eerste keer met iets nieuws komt. En daarom is het juist dan zo fijn om te horen dat mensen je werk geslaagd vinden. Nomaals dank! En groetjes terug van Zuid naar Noord!:-) Dear Tony, thank you so much for all your help! Without your advices and suggestions I had never been able to come to such a result. I still have a lot to learn but I feel very gifted with such a great teacher in the field of photography and in particular the IR photography as you are Tony!:-) Warm greetings to all of you, Ada:-) Link to comment

Echt een sfeer die je niet uit de computer krijgt maar gewoon uit je camera.... :-)..... Ik hoop dat je nog veel gaat experimenteren.. Ik wacht af in elk geval! Groetjes! Link to comment
