bartimeus1 0 Posted October 4, 2006 This is an earlier image to the spiders meal-serie that I shot some time ago. I know that the "meal" is out of focus, but I still like the overall creepyness of this image. This has a very shallow DoF because of the reversed lens. The spider has just a bit over 1cm long body... So, would you like to share your opinions about this one? Thank you! Link to comment
ggoloviy 0 Posted October 4, 2006 The composition is good as soft light, and smooth background. This fotograph would be very interesting, but IMHO DOF spoiled it too much. Please, don't take it unkindly! Use maximum f and add more light to increase DOF. Try to use two lens connected by adapter and add good light source. Best wishes and good hunt! Regards Yegor. j.k._york 0 Posted October 4, 2006 getting this close is difficult. I also shoot with a reversed lens and without a fine focus rail you can forget it. you got the face pretty sharp, but the fore-legs are amazingly detailed. this guy is almost translucent. people tend to forget that these little guys move around and they always move just when you have everything set, but you know what i mean. anyway, keep shooting. regards, J.K.
