Cascadian Colour

Mt. Rainier National Park colour last weekend, backlit. Is this too

much? Boring? Any changes? What would you do to make it better?

absolutely wonderful color and composition. everything clicks. the only bug (and it may be my monitor) is the tree on the right seems to be too light. give a little more density to match the tree on the left. great work David. good eye for the shot. regards, J.K.

ditto re JK's comment. In addition I might have raised the camera just a tad to capture the top of the trees. I might have auto-bracketed at least two (3 maybe better) images to manage the sky with post-processing. A GND filter would not be helpful here. If you shot a single RAW image, you might be able to recover the highlights with Lightroom or Photoshop CS.

 

I actually downloaded the image but with the jpg, there was not enough info to improve the sky significantly.
