tylerwind 0 Posted October 3, 2006 Prior to being taken down recently, these iron bridges were a well recognized symbol of Charleston, SC. The older of these iron truss bridges was built in 1928 and used up until July 2005. They have been replaced by the suspension bridge seen to in the left, which is the longest of its type in North America! All comments and thoughts are appreciated! Link to comment

joanbn 0 Posted November 9, 2006 Great shot of the bridge. We rode over it the same day that it opened. Tried to get a photo but only managed to get one of the old bridge as we drove along side it. It's in my portfolio if you want to check it out. Link to comment
