pjmeade 12 Posted October 3, 2006 This is the beach at Westward Ho!, in North Devon in the UK. It's a favoured place for surfers. The town gets its name from a book by Victorian author Charles Kingsley. Comments and critiques are most welcome. Link to comment

laurent_jaussi 0 Posted October 4, 2006 A very nice shot...I like the repeated lines from the waves, the surfer on the near field with the reflection...(suggestions: a bit more space below not to cut the reflection, +horizon->tal)...a very refreshing photo. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted October 5, 2006 Looks like good surfing weather for the hardy! You have got the atmosphere of the weather well. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 5, 2006 I like the lines and the vast feeling of this. Your center surfer is a strong element, and i wonder if he might have been placed slightly better just a little up in the frame to catch the rest of his reflection without cutting it off at the bottom. Good composition, looks pretty cold :o) thanks for sharing -e- Link to comment
grant4 0 Posted October 7, 2006 Hi Peter. I like this one although it appears too cold and choppy for a great surfing experience. As a participant that is.... grant Link to comment
maria 7 Posted October 8, 2006 I like the lines in the foreground, which, opposed to those in the background, seem to draw away and not parallelly to the coastal line. But I also like how the lines separate different tones of colour. thanks for sharing Maria Link to comment
