I'm glad you all mentioned and like the light in the scene because that was the most difficult part to do to create a plausible 'nightlook'.

Ada, mooie bewerking. Ik vroeg me alleen af waarom je die luifel lichtgroen hebt gelaten. Die kleur van de luifel komt toch door het daglicht?

Het gecreerde licht is geweldig, waardoor het geheel heel warm en sfeervol oogt.

Hi Marco, fijn om te horen dat je mijn bewerking wel geslaagd vindt. Wat betreft de luifel; die heb ik express wel bewerkt. In eerste instantie had ik hem een iets donkerder tint oranje/geel gegeven dan de wand daar is. Maar het werd daardoor qua kleur een beetje eentonig in dat hoekje. Van oorsprong heeft de luifel een beetje een vale licht groene tint. Een op die kleur ben ik toen maar gaan voortborduren en kwam uiteindelijk uit op de blauwige tint. Het is natuurlijk een kwestie van smaak en misschien oogt het geheel met de oranje luifel wel wat rustiger maar ik persoonlijk vind de uiteindelijk blauwige versie mooier. Om je een indruk te geven zal ik die met de oranje luifel laten zien en de originele foto.

Oh Ada, ik snap er werkelijk geen biet van hoe je dit hebt gefabriceerd, werkelijk ongelooflijk!!! Jij wordt ook met de week beter en beter met de computer h迠Ben je ook nog steeds verslaafd of is het inmiddels al wat minder geworden..? Vind het echt fenomenaal en bizar wat je eigenlijk met een redelijk standaard plaatje kan bewerkstelligen. Echt ontzettend knap!!!!!! Je creeert je eigen sprookjeswereld gewoon, hihi......... Dikke groetjes!

Nice night atmosphere. I would have sweared that it was a true night shot, and nevertheless I know to what you are able. As a constructive comment I would suggest to crop out the low part where the pavement and the sort of pipe are a bit distractive.

Very very good conversion Ada. How did you do it? My PS skill is quite limited & definitely not able to do this. I always admire your conversion from day to night. This has got superb lighting & warm glowing mood.

Het blauwe licht in de luifel breekt inderdaad de kleuren, waardoor het zeker geen saai licht is, alhoewel ik de foto met de oranje bewerkte luifel ook zeker niet saai vind. Het gevoel van herfst met een aanstormende winter bekruipt me als ik naar je foto kijk. Ik zou graag na het zien van zo'n tafereel naar binnen gaan om bij de haard te zitten met een kop chocomelk. Warmte en geborgenheid, wie wil dat nu niet? Nu nog een haard.

Tja Ada, wat moet ik hier verder nog aan toevoegen? Heerlijk sfeerbeeld!

Again, Ada, I am astonished by your ability to change the mood of your photos so much by the comparatively simple use of Photoshop. This is very, very good.

Hoi Bianca, zo mooi om die spontane reactie van je te lezen. Ja joh, ik kan er niets aan doen maar ik ben denk ik net zo verslaafd als jij. Ik kan er gewoon niet mee ophouden, letterlijk niet. Ga door tot in de vroege morgen uurtjes. Ik zal PS nog hard nodig hebben om in de toekomst nog met mijn eigen portret voor de dag te komen, want dat gezwoeg komt mijn toch al flink gerimpelde koppie niet ten goede en geld voor de plastisch chirurg heb ik niet. Maar het blijkt wel uit alles, ik hou gewoon letterlijk en figuurlijk meer van de nacht dan van de dag. Heerlijk die rust om je heen en dan maar wat aanrommelen. En dan ben ik als een klein kind zo blij als mijn geploeter ook nog eens een mooi resultaat oplevert. Maar zo heeft ieder zijn specialiteiten denk ik. Ik ben echt vaak jaloers op andermans werk en ja, ook het jouwe want daar snap ik nou weer geen biet van hoe jij dat voor elkaar krijgt. En dat is maar goed ook want het zou anders maar een eentonige beweging worden als we allemaal met hetzelfde zouden komen aanzetten; niets meer om je over te verwonderen. Saaie boel, da's niks voor ons he?:-) Hartstikke leuk dat je er was Bianc en nogmaals bedankt voor je prachtige complimenten. Ik moet nog uitkijken dan ik geen verwaande trekjes ga krijgen..... hahaha...;0)))

 

Hallo Ellen, wat ik hierboven schreef aan Bianca dat geldt ook voor jou. Op jouw werk ben ik ook vaak jaloers. Jij maakt wel zulke gave composities met die lieveheersbeestjes van je, zo harmonieus en loeischerp. Ik waardeer het daarom ook echt heel erg dat je in mijn portfolio ook regelmatig iets weet te vinden dat je mooi vind en me dat dan ook laat weten met een lief commentaartje. Bedankt daarvoor Ellen;-))

 

Wilson I appreciate your visit very much and I feel honoured that you like this pictures. Great to hear from you that I have make progress concerns my PS skills. I understand that you would like to see more shadows. I don't know exactly what you mean by that. I'm afraid that it will make some details in the picture too dark. I've watched this picture on the computer screen of my daughter because mine is very bright and a lot of details were almost invisible on her screen. But perhaps you pointed to something else. I'm sure you'll take the effort to explain it to me, Wilson;-)))

Dear Henri, thank you for your comment. It's nice to hear that you like the result of hum... my 'abnormality' to bend the position of the planets to my will. The sort of pipe you talk about is an object of great historic value. In the past large barrows had to pass this narrow street and the pole served to protect the house. It's a matter of taste perhaps but I don't think that the shot will look better when I cropp the shot. Personally I don't see the distraction and I think that even from historic point of view it would be a waste to cropp the shot. Though I appreciate your honest opinion, Henri.

 

Hi Cherlyn, nice you stop by and thanks for your kind words ;-) and? it's easier than you think! I'm sure you must be able to reach the same kind of results. I just use a several PS tools and treatments like curves, hue and saturation, dodge and burn and the clone tool and sometimes some rendering. I play around with it till I'm satisfied and that can take a long time. That is actually all I do. It's just a fact of experiment and patience. But I have to warn you; it will take you your night's rest;-)))

 

Hoi Marco, gezellig dat je nog even terug komt buurten. Wat je zegt! Een lekker haardvuur dat lijkt me ook wel wat. Zeker met dit weer. Het gaat hier bij ons tenminste flink tekeer buiten. De ramen klapperen in hun sponningen, de regen komt met bakken uit de lucht. Ik hoor hoe met felle korte tikken de druppels zich in de luchtkoker storten. Het is half vier. Wat wil je nog meer? De blauwige walm van een zojuist uitgedoofd waxinelichtje zweeft als een dolende ziel door de schaars verlichte kamer. Naast het lampje dat het toetsenbord van mijn computer verlicht zijn de enige lichtpuntjes die ik zo zonder bril nog kan waarnemen die van de stereo installatie; zo'n halve vierkante meter van reeksen kleine blauwe bolletjes en streepjes die onder en naast elkaar liggen. Waar zij zojuist nog mee deinden op de golven van geluid waarmee Salty Dog via de geluidsboxen de kamer binnen stroomde, houden zij zich nu muis stil, evenals de mannen van Procol Harum.

Het regent niet langer. Buiten de vaatwasser die steunt en kreunt dat het een aard heeft, lijkt alles en iedereen in diepe rust. Ik denk dat ik zo ook maar eens naar bed ga .... Het zal niet de eerste keer zijn dat ik het lampje naast mijn computer uitschakel en tot de ontdekking kom dat ik het schijnsel ervan niet meer nodig heb om mijn weg naar de gang moeiteloos te vinden. Een streep vaal morgenlicht valt door het smalle raam naast de voordeur de gang binnen en ontrolt zich als een loper naar boven over de houten treden van de trap. Nou, die loper ligt daar niet voor niets.... zo zachtjes mogelijk dan maar....

 

De warme chocolade melk bij de haard die houden we te goed Marco. Het wordt vast wel weer een lekkere lange winter;-)

 

 

Ai Wim, daar vraag je me wat. Ik ben niet zo'n licht dat weet je! Maar bedankt voor je fijne commentaar. Lieve groetjes broer;-)

Serious, I'm glad you like the mood I have created here. BTW, I know your computer screen is less bright as mine, so I'm not sure if you have noticed the painting behind the window. I have moved it from an other picture I've made trough an open window without curtains. I love that painting. It hangs on the wall in one of the castles in my neighbourhood. It's forbidden to take pictures inside so I did it on the sly from outside.
