Maria,

I live not so far away from Leuven, and I work in the city.

I know that making a good picture of the city-hall is not easy.

You succeeded very well !! Congratulations !

The first week-end of June, the city hall was lit with special effects.

I managed to take some pictures of it. you can find one at : http://www.photo.net/photos/luc.moons55

it is the nignth picture in "single photo's".

Let me know what you think of it : luc.moons55@skynet.be

Gary, you are of course right, it is City hall in Leuwen. Many thanks for appreciating the shot, you might know how difficult it is to take a photo from a relatively (in comparisson to the building) small place in front of it. You are fascinated how nice your object is and simultaneously frustrated what you can capture.

I tried to find your photo of the City hall but I was not successful - I will go back to see it again soon. But I went through your portfolio and realized how good you are! It seems so that B&W is most appropriate for an old architecture.I visited almost all places on your photos but I do not have so many digital images because I own a digital camera only one year.

Many thanks again for your encourraging words! I will loook at your portfolio from time to time in order to see nice photos and to learn! Regards,Maria.

Luc,

Many thanks for a nice comment. I like Leuwen and its history, and not only what we can see by walking through a city. I took many shots by beeing there a few weeks ago, I spent so much time there to find a right place but I do not think that many of them are interesting. I have a feeling that something is missing there. But looking at this photo I could feel the atmosphere of this city, small but so beatifull...

I have looked at your portfolio, I think you have good eyes - I like above all your photos of old houses and doors and windows...I will folow you with great interest. Regards,Maria.
