mrhaydon 0 Posted October 1, 2006 I thought B&W might be just as visual, tell me what you think, thanks for your comments as they are valuable for us amateurs. And as they say, if you don't like it, you don't have to rate it. Cheers. Link to comment
SARTMADJIEV 0 Posted October 2, 2006 I think that color vs. B&W just give different images. B&W has its own mood and charm and usually is very interesting for me. Your photo is really good. Link to comment
neilpeters 0 Posted October 2, 2006 Really nice use of contrast on a great composition :) Link to comment
bgw 0 Posted October 2, 2006 I prefer this monochrome version, but then I have a bias toward monochrome usually. In this case I might defend that bias since the shapes loom out of this composition as tones more pulsatingly without the distraction of colour, as a poem might be less emphatic without rhythm, obscured by prosaic description. lucyhollis 2 Posted October 2, 2006 I agree with the first critiquer - the b&W is very different from the colour. However in this particular instance, because your exposure is so even through the photo (I expect that this would normally a good thing!), the colour of the other version helps describe depth where as this one seems a bit flatter.
