sondra kick 0 Posted September 30, 2006 Built in 1880 and little changed since, the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad is the finest and most spectacular example of steam era mountain railroading in North America. All comments are appreciated. Cheers, Sondra Link to comment

afs760bf 0 Posted October 4, 2006 Hi, Sondra, This is a great photo. You know it's really a shame that the old trains disappeared. A lot of photo opportunities are gone. My grandfather worked as a mailman on the Bangor and Aroostook railroad (or Maine Central Railroad). I remember as a child going to the station and watching the old coal-burner roll in. Pretty impressive sight for someone who was about five at the time. All the trains look the same these days. No class. Thanks for posting. Best Regards, Barry Link to comment

aepelbacher 0 Posted October 8, 2006 Hi Sondra - lots of family stuff going on here lately ... will all be over tomorrow (!!) ... but for now there are sporadic opportunities to play on PN. :-) Anyway - this is cool because of the way the exhaust from the engine creates a strong line and good detail against the dreamy feel that you get from the snow. Nice! Link to comment

bpaulus 0 Posted December 10, 2006 Sondra, This is simply superb! I love the feel the snow gives off with the steam. Plus I just love Steam Trains. All the best, Bill Link to comment
