ada-ipenburg 0 Posted September 30, 2006 Hi Gerry, you've captured a wonderful classic portrait of a violist. The b&w makes it ageless. Great how the hand is in focus and the face is blurred. It heightens his expression which radiates that he is totally lost in his own world of music. I like how the digonal of the bow seems to cut the picture in two different parts. Very well done! Greetings, Ada:) Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted December 1, 2006 I agree with Ada, a very fine shot catching the feeling of musical expression very well. I like also (as a bit of a fiddler myself in days gone by) the contrast between the gentle dreamy facial expression and the taut muscles and tendons of arm and fingers. These express very well the way the artistry of music depends on the physical technique. I might have left a little more on the left but a fine shot. Link to comment
