ada-ipenburg 0 Posted September 28, 2006 A beautiful picture which is like a patchwork quilt in different green tones. It's so sharp and well done. Real impressive to see the enormous varity in green colours which exists in nature. With this picture you also shows us a perfect proof of the influence of the elements and humans involvement in the landscape. In the time before I was interested in photography my husband an I have surprised our granddaughter (she was only 5 years old) with a short flight in a single-engined plane above the area we live. She has enjoyed the floght and we too! We flew at such a low altitude that we were able to see our house and garden and the childeren next door which played outside. I still regret that I didn't made pictures of that wonderful trip. I tell you this because your picture reminds me to that flight and I wonder if you took this picture from a plane too Paula. It's a great shot! Warm greetings, Ada:-) Link to comment

treeffe 0 Posted September 29, 2006 Una veduta molto rilassante con colori che avvisano dell'arrivo dell'autunno. Molto affine al mio genere di foto potrebbere essere benissimo nel mio di portfolio :-) (dove la hai scattata?) Un saluto Fabio Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted September 29, 2006 Thanks for commenting and for letting me know that this symphony struck you as it did me. The location is in Italy, Garda Lake, near Desenzano, Manerba. There is The Rock, the remains of the Rock ( an observatory in the past, I think) that offers a wonderful view of the lake from above. More than the lake, though, I was completely caught by the lawns, vineyards, by the variety of greens goldened by Autumn. Ada, what a wonderful memory; glad the image reminded you of it. colin carron 58,916 Posted September 30, 2006 Paula, those little patches of patterned cultivation attract the eye immediately and then one wnaders through the various patterns and punctuations (the little hut thing in the middle!). The impression I am left with is how intensively humans have cultivated and taken over this landscape from nature - there are no people but you can see their imprint everywhere. The composition is good too going in an anti-clockwise circle (for me anyway!) Link to comment
adolfovalente 0 Posted September 30, 2006 Belle le geometrie di questi campi... Ottima composizione Link to comment

paula grenside 0 Posted October 1, 2006 Alex, e' vicino a dove abiti. davvero merita una visita. Colin, it's something that struck me, too. Man's hand is present but for once it enhances the natural beauty and it's so peaceful. Beyond this green, there is the lake, a quieter symphony in blue. Adolfo, glad you liked. Now, this is a place you can reach and come up with some beautiful shots. David, thank you for your kind comments. Link to comment
