The Cheverny castle, near Blois in the department of Loir et Cher,

was the model that Hergé, creator of Tintin, used for the Moulinsart

castle. He just removed the two end buildings, keeping only the

three central buildings. I amused myself by pasting his three famous

heros on the central path of the castle. The figures are copied in

the album "Le trésor de Rackham-le-Rouge", in a similar picture at

the end of the story, when Tintin, Milou and Haddock are arriving in

the castle of Haddock's ancestor, le Chevalier de Haddock.

Rather nice. I usually don't care for this type of manipulation, but the figures make the image. When I noticed the peoples and dog were drawing, I smiled rather than frowned. Cheers!

What a sweet compilation, Henri. It's of course a nice shot of a wonderful castle but together with these tree stripheroes you have stolen my heart with this scene.....;-)

Salut, Ada:0))

Thank you Ada, John, Oliver and Ali, I am happy to please you with this photomontage. I have given the paper print to my daughter, she was very happy too. I think to make a large 70 cm print and hang it in her bedroom.

... with the three of them going home. Looking at it in thumbnail I thought "Cheverney" but something was wrong. No, nothing was wrong, except me. Nous sommes chez Tintin!
