Life Is Just a Tire Swing!

Aside from a little cropping, this is exactly how it came out of the camera.

This "Tire Swing" very much speaks of people who were not able to move one but kept on coming back to the same place. Very poetic scene, good capture. Thanks for dropping some notes Regards.

For those of you that don't know, that title is a quote from a Jimmy

Buffett song, which I was reminded of when I saw this scene. Let me

know what you think--all thoughts and comments are greatly

appreciated!

I really would like to see this in Black and White!

I bet, it would really make that interesting tree trunk come alive...

Kellen-Thanks so much for your comments. That is a great idea! One of the reasons I wanted comments on this is because I'll be making 3 more trips to this town. This was such a perfect photographic scene but I had some trouble capturing exactly what I envisioned so I wanted tips and ideas. There will definitely be some B&W coming next FRI! Thanks for the comments--please keep them coming, especially if you are giving this lower end ratings! I've seen this oak tree with the tire swing and grassy area referred to as a target destination of professional photographers in several publications--if you don't think I capture it well, please give me some ideas I can try out next time! Obviously some people think it's a picture perfect scene--I just need to figure out the best way to shoot it.

Very nice shot. Good smooth colours, and good composition. Seems like a great tree. Do you have a picture of the whole tree? Best regards from Sweden!

This simple image is nevertheless evocative of the childhood we all like to think we had. In this idyllic childhood, everyday is summer, spent under the shade of a great tree swinging on tyres till we tire ourselves to sleep.
