AJHingel 127 Posted September 24, 2006 Bianca, this is very beautiful and very original. In general I don't use the practice to give 7 for photos (I always hope to see even better ones !) but for this masterpiece I have found one out of my hidings !! Bravo for one of the best in your portfolio among so many other good photos. Link to comment

anja 0 Posted September 24, 2006 I like the combination of sea and model. The cloth of the model is great. I made historical and gothic cloth by myself. It seems that her way end there. Its dark and sad. But this are just my emotions. Link to comment
AJHingel 127 Posted September 24, 2006 Anja, why do you see this as "dark and sad"? I see it as mysterious and forceful. Women power and witchcraft is what we see, as far as I imagine it. For Bianca to enlighten us. Link to comment
biancavanderwerf 0 Posted September 24, 2006 For me this image symbolise 'strenght and believes'. This woman has a transparant mask in front of her face. Before she wasn't quit sure how to fit in society. Now she's going to remove it slowly..... Still holding on to what is secure and save. The mask is not thrown away, it will be kept in difficult times. But the first steps in her own strenght have been made..... That's MY story....... But I think it's great when you make yours..... :-)..... Thank you... Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 25, 2006 Very nice image...the character wants it to happen...that's her purpose...that's most important. Regards OG. Link to comment
ben.goossens 0 Posted September 25, 2006 I love it for the idea, colors and atmosphere:-))) Groetjes, Ben P.S.: If I can suggest something and maybe I'm wrong, I feel it should be cropped, so that he mean idea with the mask commes out better. Agreed? Link to comment
biancavanderwerf 0 Posted September 25, 2006 I have to be honest, most of the time I know exactly how the result must look like. Everything was the way I wanted but I struggled with the composition. I like this sky, the feeling of space in the original, but something is not right, where I cannot lay my finger on (that's no English haha). Your crop is somewhere in the right direction, I prefer some more space in the looking area.... Do you agree? Thanks so much for thinking with me, really appreciate it! Link to comment
jefvandenhoute 0 Posted September 25, 2006 Very creative work (as usual). This kind of images bring photography well above the level of pure 'aesthetic photgraphy'. I also like the 'desaturated' colours and the ligth. I agree with the comment on the cropping: more space at the left and cropping on the top make it in all senses a 7/7 Link to comment
kds 0 Posted September 25, 2006 This is why I like photography so much. Technique can be learned, talent not. This is extremely good. The quality of your work and the whole portfolio is of the highest standard on this forum. Kurt Link to comment
Your crob, more squaire, is even more better than I suggested, because the golden rule says that the view direction should have more space and the sky still stays very interesting. I can still learn a lot from you:-)) groetjes, ben Link to comment
Dank! Thanks everybody above for your very nice comments... :-) Link to comment
heinominnema 0 Posted September 25, 2006 dat werk van je blijft nog steeds Fascinerend!!! Link to comment
stephen-whitehead 0 Posted September 26, 2006 While the original posting might not conform to the rule of thumb guides to composition! it is, without doubt the strongest and most compelling version, i'd leave it alone. The vast overwhelming sky above your subject tells it's own story, and gives a context to what might be seen through the mask. Excellent work, congratulations. Link to comment
hekate 0 Posted September 26, 2006 Bianca, your images get better and better ! This is wonderful, I love the way she is dressed and that sky is breathtaking ! GREAT JOB ! ;) I like the idea, I also have my interpretation for this, the "mask" looks like a little ship, it's like she's ready for sailing, even though the ship is small, great choice for the colour of the dress ! great atmosphere, pure strength !!!! ;) Your style gets defined really beautifully :) Cheers ! PS : I prefer the version with more space. Cristina Link to comment
