tm_photography 0 Posted September 22, 2006 I shot this during a competition at a local club, and was very surprised when I learned I'd won first prize with it. Since the editors of several local magazines were the editors, but I got know actual feedback from them, I'm curious what you all think makes this a strong image... All constructive comments welcome. richbh 0 Posted September 22, 2006 Off hand I'd say it's the look of vulnerability in his eyes. Strong and masculine but vulnerable and maybe a little scared. He's humanized - not just another beautiful body, not just an object. Link to comment
awareness 0 Posted September 22, 2006 I like this photo for several reasons. Offsetting the main subject with the dark curtain makes for a more dramatic contrast. The tattoo is important and the beard stubble to add to the masculinity of these two men. The male in the forefront has really good lighting. I am not a gay male but I like this shot and believe it shows masculine sensitivity in a very respectful way. Very well done. Link to comment
