Ward, this is in my opinion a part of the nature. Perhaps the attached image describe it better. The same lens was used in another way. Thanks for your question. Regards, Baldur

Baldur, you are amazing. Someday I'll take photos that have half the quality and aesthetic value of yours ... and I'll be SOOoooo happy. :-) Do you conduct workshops? ;-)

Another good shot, Baldur. You have filled the frame well and the overlap of structures makes this image for me. I am beginning to see how you get so dark blue sky, shooting with your subject being strongly lit from behind you or slightly from the side. Is that the secret ? Best wishes. Peter

Lou Ann and Peter, many thanks for your visit and kind comments. The letter Z reminded me of that the way of life is not always straightforward. To Lou Ann: Your photos are already Very Good. About your later question: Why not ?

To Peter: I felt the opposite cloud formation against the overlapped structure interesting. About your question: It could be a part of it. Sometimes the sky in Iceland is deep blue in a beautiful way. I was in Tenerife in last April and one day the cloudy sky reminded me of Iceland. Did you know that Iceland and Tenerife are on the same meridian. Some things in the nature are familiar. Should I post the attached image ? Best wishes, Baldur

Baldur, why not ? I like the attached shot from Tenerife. I guess another part of your recipe for deep blue sky is the film you are using. I have one roll in the freezer, but somehow I find myself using Velvia 100F most of the time. Peter
