alecee 0 Posted September 21, 2006 Following the style of artist Norman Rockwell I am amused with the characters in this setting. Link to comment

atkphotoworks 0 Posted September 22, 2006 Alec, the highlight of the image for me is the gentleman in the white tank top looking at you. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted September 22, 2006 Yes Amar, when I peek into the stall four of them were looking at me but the barber was busily clipping away at the kid. I must have looked strange to them but they broke into a laughter when they see their images on the camera's LCD. Technology is great for breaking the ice. ^_^ Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted September 22, 2006 These people seems very interested in you & your camera. A most natural & nostalgic scene that brings us back to kampong time. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted September 22, 2006 You bring your excellent camera and sharp eye to the everyday. Somehow this picture carried me back to my youth when my mother used to get the clippers out and give haircuts to my brothers and myself. I still remember the old electric clippers and how they would sometimes pull the hair, much to our irritation. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted September 23, 2006 Shuki Dan, Cherlyn, Jack thanks for the reminder. Really brings back the memories of yesteryear, that's why I thought of Norman Rockwell's paintings when I saw their look of wonder in their faces. Link to comment
as de beer 0 Posted September 24, 2006 (Some) P.N Puritans might have something to say about balance (and that so-called 3rd priciple), i.e. could the pix be cropped at the fringe of the blue cloth, thus making the pix more 'balanced', or is it the other boy and the red and blue/green plastic bags that help 'make' this special photo? Best, asdeb Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted September 24, 2006 Hi AS, actually I cropped the image on the left after the wooden beam. It showed the street scene and was too distracting. As said by Alpo, Chaba, Amar and Sircar, the characters made to image interesting and I used them as highlight for the character study. Link to comment
