Taken on a rare seemingly unpolluted day in Hong Kong. (Best view larger - p.net does seem to be compressing images a lot more these days!)

Feedback appreaciated.

Wooow, this looks like, hm, ... beehive :). Very good photo.

Just an idea - maybe you should try to make another photo - more geometric one :). Remove bottom part of the photo to have only walls and windows. Also, try to make wall lines parallel. This is just an idea.

Excellent photo!

Pavle, I guess I should have played around with the perspective tool to make the outer verticals parallel. A bee hive may be appropriate but if you have ever been to Hong Kong you will know that from above the streets give the impression of ants. Thanks a lot.

Ciaran, I never thought of a graphic equaliser but I see what you mean. Thanks!

Hong Kong, yes I know it very well and think more behive or rabbit hole then shoebox. It is a rather clear day and unusual I agree. I like this and also like it cropped at the bottom leaving and abstraction of reality and pure geometry in the structures. Cool stuff, nice clarity and details.

Howard, Lego is something that springs to mind a lot when looking at buildings in Hong Kong.

Gerhardt, I was quite pleased with the detail in this shot, considering it was taken around 4 years ago with a D30.

Thank you both.

This is a great photo, not that easy to take. I have been living in Hong Kong and know that it is sometimes difficult to get enough distance between you and the buildings. This seems to be one of the newly developed areas. You have been really lucky with the weather.

Do you live in Hong Kong? You have got quite some photos from there. Some of them are really great since they perfectly capture the mood of the city. Thanks for reminding me of a great time in the past and letting me look into the future when I hopefully will live in Hong Kong again.

All the best,

Anthony

The best way to answer you is say, I spend a lot of time in Hong Kong. Most of the photos uploaded here on P.N were taken there. Thanks for the comment.

In singapore we call them pigeon holes (at least non-singaporeans). love the clarity of this shot and the distance.

Thanks a lot Bilal. I have heard the term 'pigeon holes' before. I can't remember if it was in Singapore or not. I am happy with the clarity of this shot too.
