ziopino 0 Posted September 20, 2006 Wonderful capure. Ver enjoyable sharpness of the bugs, almost metallic in feel, against the smoothness of the water. Very, very nice shot. Link to comment

cromwell1664877587 0 Posted September 20, 2006 Thanks everybody. I shot this a couple of weeks ago along with the two previous shots in this folder. All three were taken within 20 feet of each other at different times of the day and from different directions. Link to comment
cromwell1664877587 0 Posted September 21, 2006 I had never seen anything quite like it either. Here's a pic to show how piled up they were at times. What I'm puzzled by, is there were thousands of them paired up and in the first stages of sex, but I never saw a single one actually having sex during the two days I was camped out in this area. Maybe someone that knows more about them than I do could elaborate. Link to comment
wildphotoart 0 Posted September 22, 2006 Great shot - how did you manage to freeze the action and get enough depth of feild? Link to comment
cromwell1664877587 0 Posted September 22, 2006 Thank you, everybody for the comments. Robert - I'm pretty sure I shot this from the lake shooting towards land and the sun was to my back in the very late afternoon hours. I captured it in a vertical format and the only crop was off the top and bottom. f9, 1/500, iso400, 210mm Link to comment
