Hello, almost everything about this shot came out wrong, other than

the dynamics of the sport. I've tried to rescue something from the

shot. What do you think, any good or waste of time? I would also be

interested to know how others would have tackled the image.

Thanks. Pete

Intro: I am no expert, so this is an opinion by an ignorant.

Too much space on the left, too little on the right? Perhaps the lances should be center-weighted?

I like the parallel lines.

a very nice photo...I also like the parallels...black vs white horse...centering and space right/left is OK for me...the parallels and symmetry elements (3 horses, one in the middle) make it for a balanced composition....the sky is so so...but who can change the sky (better original than artificial) )

I can see why this took the judges eye. The rhythm generated by the repeated pose of the riders and lances gives a good sense of movement - almost like a movie effect. The spacing of the horses and the frame look fine to me and to me help express the motion. Congratulations!
