andrew_sumpton 0 Posted May 28, 2007 This is my favorite one! Guess it is getting a bad rating? I don't know- I REALLY go in for the flat textural thing. Would cutting off the top and the bottom to make it three vertical stripes make it look wierd? And the left stripe has that shadow curving through it(!). Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted May 28, 2007 Thanks man. Wow, its been a long since i've at this picture... Yeah, it was one of my favorites as well and i can honestly say that i was surprised to see where it rated.I personally like the little bit of sky and the bottom because i think it adds some depth/scale. On the other hand, i held my hands over the top and bottom and that looks interesting as well. Link to comment
ajsanford 0 Posted June 1, 2007 Hi Dan, I think you have managed to capture a beautiful shot of this waterfall. I really like the play of shadows and light. I don't know if you've been able to figure out your problem with the resizing, but here is some very helpful advice a Mr. Ross Yourth gave me when he was viewing one of my gigantic horizontal images :"This is a nice image but difficult to visulize because of the scrolling required. If I may give a bit of advice: I usually set my resolution at 180 & limit the heigth of the image to 4",this way your complete image would show on the screen". I love the picture otherwise. Regards, Amanda Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted June 4, 2007 Hi Amanda. It can be difficult to get a good balance when uploading a vertically framed photo because those that use high resolution monitors want to be able to see the photo, and those with low resolution monitors want to see the rest of the photo. Granted, this is one of my older photos and since have probably dropped the resolution some. I suspect this was uploaded at 1000pixels on the vertical axis. I now upload at 900pixels on the vertical axis. Thanks for your comment. Link to comment
