dragos tudose 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Nice selective focus. Did you use the lens unmounted and tilted? Reminds me of Burnett's photography. Keep it up! Dragos. Link to comment
aslavihervuori 0 Posted September 17, 2006 Thank you for comment. Lens was tighty mounted and this lens does not provide tilting option. But aperture was wide open (1,4), so that is the effect. Thank you for link, too. Interesting that is, indeed. You would perhaps like to look at Nathan Ross portfolio here at PN. a s l a Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted November 10, 2006 Asla, this is a terrific photo, perhaps the best in your portfolio. Selective focus here is masterful, especially given the equipment you were using. Black and white tonality is perfect. Great shot. Link to comment
delta_mike 0 Posted November 11, 2006 i like this a lot, the only question arising being, did you try a different viewpoint (i.e. lower), and if yes, what was the effect? Link to comment
mihaylov 0 Posted November 29, 2006 well yes, it's a great ones, given the fact that i also love wide open apertures /especially the 1,4/. so the DOF and the composition makes the picture interesting here. i think a lower view will add some unwanted details in the background..? Link to comment
aslavihervuori 0 Posted November 29, 2006 Actually, I had little time for viewpoint and composition here. I was in model exhibition, and had two kids with me :) I wanted barn in background included but blurred. I also noticed that even with wide open, background behind barn would cause some troubles/ distractions. So Alexander was right here. Thank you, a s l a Link to comment
