marcadamus 1 Posted September 16, 2006 30 second exposure after sunset, wave action crashing on rocks. Thanks for your comments. Link to comment
marcadamus 1 Posted September 16, 2006 The Oregon Coast. This is an image that I hoped would capture the mood and ambiance I felt wandering through along this empty beach alone at the end of a stormy day. The concept was a B&W image from the start. I used a long exposure about 10 minutes after sunset and had a little luck with the waves. Thanks for looking. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 16, 2006 Can't really tell they're waves with that long of an exposure, but the effect is terrific. I like the fog look more than I would have actual waves - this is different, and I really like the atmosphere it creates. I'm surprised it didn't turn out too bright with that long an exposure, but you did a great job. I only wonder if there shouldn't be more contrast. I also like the way you lucked out witht he lines of the water matching the lines in the clouds - looks as though it's all vanishing on the horizon. Really nice. Link to comment
savoca 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Terrific mood; look like illuminated from the ground. Really original and beautiful - unlike all the other "long exposure sea and sunset" pictures. Well done ! Greetings from Switzerland Reto Link to comment
papasan 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Beautifully done. As said by someone else, I particularly like the fact that the waves have morphed into a "fog" with the long exposure along with the B+W treatment it makes a very dramatic and moody shot. Great composition and unusual but excellent choice of B+W. Link to comment

biggerjon 0 Posted September 16, 2006 My first action on seeing the thumbnail was to say out loud " Wow that's good" It stands out from most of the the other images in the recent gallery. Having seen the name associated with it i am not surprised it is good. Another absolutely stunning image Marc. Regards Jon Link to comment
will king 0 Posted September 18, 2006 This photo really has a sense of movement. I feel that the horizon is really pulling me in. Bet this one looks great as a 13x19. Link to comment

will king 0 Posted September 18, 2006 Marc, have you ever considering publishing a book of all your great photos of the Pac NW? Link to comment
ianflindt 0 Posted September 25, 2006 Remarkably impressive, and it was inspired of you to capture this scene in B&W : the movements and patterns in the water and sky are emphasized superbly. Link to comment
kurt2006 0 Posted November 9, 2006 Have you considered adjusting the image to remove the slight arc of the horizon or do you think this would detract from the flow of the image? Your choice of aperture and exposure length is pleasing. Link to comment
