afs760bf 0 Posted September 22, 2006 No, I don't think it's "too" sharp, but everyone has their own parameters. It doesn't look over-pixelated on my monitor (20" LCD). Having said that, I might go for a little softer look, since it's a pretty close crop, and the nose is prominent, and has a shiny area on it. It's a nice portrait, though, and I like the eyes. stephen hazelton 3 Posted September 22, 2006 I assume you mean too sharp in the original image, not digitally sharpened? Anyway, don't know as I'd call it too sharp, but rather too close. When viewed large on a monitor, you do see some skin details that wouldn't be noticable under normal conditions. Link to comment
friedemann_pistorius 0 Posted September 22, 2006 A nice portrait and a beautiful woman too. To me a picture can't be sharp enough. I like your picture, mainly because of the natural look of the woman. She has kind of a "Mona Lisa" smiling, hiding something behind her interesting eyes. But the background on the left is somewhat "uneven" - red and dark and yellow portions. I think it would also add still more beauty to the woman's appearance if we could see more of her forehead and hair. Just my opinion. Link to comment
jongaus 0 Posted September 22, 2006 Thanks a lot for everyones feedback. I attach the uncropped, unretouched out-of-the-camera version in case you find it interesting. Link to comment
lintrathen 15 Posted August 18, 2011 as the other posters mentioned....... maybe a little skin "smoothing".Regards Link to comment
