This is easily one of the best IR pictures I've seen! The palm trees are perfect for it; other shrubs/grasses blend together too much. NICE capture.

Your the queen of IR photography Sondra and this shot is a very nice one as always. The branches of the palmtrees look like silvery feathers and it's wonderful to see how the wind plays with them. Though, when I think of palmtrees I would prefer to see them in combination with a bright blue sky and an aquamarine sea. But I realise that that is a matter of personal taste. Your IR work gets better all the time. The last few you have posted, this one included, are exquisite. Makes me want to buy a cheap digital and convert it to infrared to see what I can do with it. Cheers, J

IR, PS retouch or green filter for B&W?

You do this very well Sondra.

The effect is so stunning. Sondra, is this due to the filter or PS? Sorry I'm new to this. But I really like this. Thanks for sharing. :)

Spencer, my camera has been IR modified: Internal IR cut filter removed from Sony F828 resulting in normal daylight shooting speeds with R72 IR filter. I had my camera modified so I could hand hold it for shooting. Many cameras need a tripod for the same results. The Sony F828 also has a night mode that works quite well with the filter. Infrared images are beautiful, my favorite.

Sondra, another beauty, I love the palms both for their colour but also the way they lead into the image.

Nice IR image Sondra, beautiful palms vs. the dark water. I like the semi circle of the beach.

I would have thought that colour was essential for a shot like this but the IR with its unexpected emphases makes an arresting image and proved me wrong!

You're right - this must be viewed "larger". I love the leaves on the palms. This is lovely.
